From Indian Lakes - The Constellation Room. Mar 6, 2014.

It's been a while since I've done concert work, being extremely busy from college and work, but I was finally able to get out to another show. I was able to take photos of one of my personal favorites, From Indian Lakes, at the Constellation Room in Santa Ana, CA on the first (and not to mention, sold out) night of the Able Bodies Tour. Here are a few of my favorite shots. (If you haven't heard of this band before, I recommend you do because these guys are going to be huge.)

Hey guys! Sorry for not posting on here very frequently, I haven't been able to update as often as I'd like to, things have just been crazy this year so far. Anyway! I uploaded some different looks on Polyvore if you were interested in checking them out! I'm starting to post on there more often so be sure to follow me if you like my lame outfits and stuff.

Hey everyone! Some of you may know that I recently did my hair a silver/lilac color. I feel like silver is an easy color to achieve on accident but so much harder to get intentionally. Since there's a lack of reliable silver and lilac dyes, I'm going to go over how I achieved my hair color in case if anyone was wondering how it was done and wants to try it out for themselves.

Depending on how dark your hair is naturally, you will have to lighten. You're going to want to get your hair to a perfect shade of white. (While lightening myself, previously having highlights made it extremely difficult to get it entirely the same shade. My hair is imperfect, but hey, I kinda like it that way. I mean, it's different that way, right?) Anyway.

Products I used:
  • Clairol Basic White Extra Strength Powder Lightener.
  • 40 Volume Developer.
  • Manic Panic Toner in Virgin Snow.
  • Shimmer Lights Purple Shampoo.

Steps:
  • Bleach. - Mix together the bleach and developer and apply it to your hair to achieve the lightest and palest yellow it can get. What volume developer, how many ounces, and how long you want to leave it on for all depends on the shade and length of your hair. (I would ask a store associate what they would suggest just to be sure.) If your hair isn't looking light enough, you may have to bleach it again until you get your desired yellow. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy the "blonde" kits at drug stores. That's a big no. These have harsher chemicals and never turn out the way you want it to. Trust me on that one. You'll be better off bleaching.
  • Toner. - After bleaching, you're going to want to get all the ugly yellow tones out of your hair, right? Going to be completely honest, I haven't tried all too many toners in my life, but Manic Panic's toner did the job. You're just going to apply that and leave it on for the instructed time. If you did everything correctly, your hair should be white!
  • Purple Shampoo. - You heard me, I didn't use any dyes. This shampoo tones and even leaves silvery purple tones in your hair. Awesome, right? All I did was run some through my hair and let it sit so the color would take. You can let it sit for thirty minutes to an hour, all depending on how gray you wanted it. As long as you don't mind some purple tones!

Be. Sure. To. Deep. Condition. I cannot express this enough. You just bleached your hair, you're going to need all the moisture you can get. I recommend those little cheap deep conditioning treatments that you can get at beauty stores. You're going to need it. I also strongly recommend Moroccan oil products, they work as a miracle and revive your hair.

The only thing about this method is that you have to maintain the shade that you want. It does look different in different lighting, but that goes for all hair. Remember, it doesn't always come out exactly how you want it, but it's fun changing it up every now and then. Hope this entry could be of help to some. If I ever come across a reliable silver dye, I'll be sure to post it!

Many of you know that I got hired at Urban Outfitters for seasonal...

Since day one of working at Urban, I've came in contact with so many amazing people and have grown rapidly as a person. I've discovered so much more about myself than I ever thought I'd know and have learned to express myself in different ways.

When I had first heard that they wanted to hire me after a short open interview, with at least a hundred or so applicants to compete with, all I could think about was how unworthy and fortunate I was to get this awesome opportunity. It was a couple of weeks after the interview and I had given up hope because I figured they would have called me by then. Better late than never, right? It was an amazing surprise to get a call that would change my life. To get my first job at a place that I've been wanting to work at for 3+ years was really incredible and I'm grateful for every second of it.

This really came to me at such a perfect time in my life, I feel like I needed this. It's molding me into such a better person and has gotten me out of my comfort zone. Honestly, it's done so much good for me mentally and physically. All of the people I've met along the way in this journey are incredible and will always hold a place in my heart. I'll admit that Urban isn't the perfect job, retail has it's ups and downs, but all jobs have their flaws. In the end, I really do enjoy it all.

This may sound like I'm saying my goodbyes to Urban, but I have a pretty big announcement - Urban has offered me a permanent spot on the team. There were so many amazing candidates that could have been chosen over me, but I was lucky enough to be one of the few to stay. To any of those who have supported me in the past few months, thank you so much. I'm only getting started here and I couldn't be more excited.

Day one at Urban.

Final day of seasonal.
